Re: Matsuura on Low Power Supply

So this leads to another question. Cart before the horse scenario.

Working from the other direction, fitting the machine to the existing available power. With a 25kVa transformer and 200 amp...

    Matsuura on Low Power Supply

    Looking at a 1996 Matsuura MC-800VF, VMC

The only problem is the transformer on the power pole is only 25kVa (single phase) and the machine is rated 37kVa in the book specs and 41kVa, 200-220V,...

Re: Cincinnati Milacron Arrow 500 Advise?

I would pass on this machine unless you can confirm low hours and everything working.

The first thing you can see in the pic is the monitor is dead and they patched another one in and put it up...

Re: Looking For a Used VMC

So I went and looked at the Arrow 500. The X travels were okay contrary to all the info on them being poor design. It's a really low hour machine but it's been sitting so long it's going bad. The Y...

Re: G Code, M Code Problems

Okay, I changed M6 to false. Movement pauses like it did before but the spindle does not stop spinning.

But now I have a work-a-round. I click "cycle start" and the spindle stops and Mach3 asks...

    Looking For a Used VMC

I've decided my Tormach is not big enough nor fast enough. So I'm shopping for a small used VMC.

Something about the size of a Hass MiniMill2. 20"x16"X14" 7.5 HP 4000 lbs.

    Looking for...

Need more info. What OP system? Win7 is probably best.

Does Mach 3 have a list of compatible MB's and processors?

With Tormach they have a list of MB's and processors. Also they use the...

    Re: 770 and GWizard and 6061 T6

I agree with you on the carbide and aluminum. With the lack of rigidity and the chatter, they end up chipping anyway.

So what machine are you running with 1/2" HSS 2-flute endmills at well over...

    Re: 770 and GWizard and 6061 T6

So the same parameters put into the free FSWizard gives 4970 RPM and 95 IPM

Since it's obvious the 770 isn't going to run at this rate, what do you suggest? Would you reduce by a certain factor? ...

Re: Needing help with software, be gentle

You need to look for a feedrate setting, like "plunge feedrate" or "ramp feedrate", or even "lead-in feedrate"

  18. Re: Debating getting into CNC work, have some questions.

    Re: 1100 Series 3 For Sale...Maybe

I would say even 80% would not be unreasonable. That's brand new and 20% off.

Yeah, and it's a catch 22 because you need access to another mill because yours is going to be dismantled.
