    AutoCabinets and RouterCAD

We are in the market for a software package for CNC design and fabrication of cabinets. There are a lot of products on the market and they all claim to be the best. We received a demo of a package called AutoCabinets and RouterCAD today and it looked really good. I was wondering if anyone might have had any experience (good or bad) with this product? Also, would like to know what software other cabinet makers are using and if they are pleased with the product and service.

Thank you in advance for any information you may be able to provide.

Best place to talk about cabinet software is woodweb.

Is this for small jobs, or 100+ cabinet jobs? Custom, or fairly standard? What kind of machines do you have?

    No experience with RouterCAM.

For over 10 years I used Pattern Systems (bought out by 20/20).
Now I use a custom AutoCAD macro to generate .dxf files and a .csv parts list, and use AlphaCAM to create toolpaths and nest.

As I mentioned in my previous post. If you do one off very custom cabinets, then you'd want a different package than if you do high volume casework.

In the UK we have a product called Cabinet Vision it seems good and bolts onto alphacam to run routers. There are some videos on YouTube.
