Biesse rover 23 (XNC controller): DNC connection

    Hello,

Does anyone know how to use a DNC link (RS232) with an XNC controller? I would like to transfer my programs over serial connection instead of using floppies...
In the XNC 1.2 manual there is a small paragraph over remote connection (7.12) but it is not explained how to enable the connection and the communication settings.

    Could anybody help me?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

    you dont need a RS232
Better is a simple Network Card.
Got some an think its not hard to install.
If it sounds Interesting.....send me a Message

This is a late reply. I am simply busting my head out trying to activate a serial connection in the CNi. How did you hook up your PC to the Biesse for quick file transfer?

    Hi,
you need just a Network Card with a RTL8029 chip in the Machine. Easy to find at ebay.
A How to install, later. I try to make some Pictures for you.

I think manual is not possible. Which fault number gives the NC if you start a Programm? Maybe wrong inputs saved in the machine data.

Like Daniel I'm trying to network our Rover 23. It already has a network card in it and the last owners had theirs networked. What I'm not seeing is in the XNC software how to map or "hook up" a shared folder or any other way of connecting to a computer. Anyone know where to find it?
