    FANUC Z AXIS SERVO AMP

    HI,
I HAVE A HORIZONTAL MILL AND BORE MACHINE, FANUC 16M CONTROLLER. THAT HAS A '414 SERVO ALARM Z AXIS DETECT ERROR.' INSIDE THE CABINET THE SERVO AMP FOR Z AXIS HAS AN ALARM CODE OF '1' ON IT. ACCORDING TO ALARM MANUAL I BELIEVE ITS A LOW OR HIGH VOLTAGE ISSUE. ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN TROUBLE SHOOT OF FIX THIS PROBLEM.
    THANKS SCOT

could you measure voltage on incoming terminals?
if it is OK the problem may be in comparator inside the drive
let us know the model of the drive

    I forgot to add
if alarm occurs during the operation, the problem may be with discharging transistor or resistor
