    Tailstock Problem

    Good morning
I have this tailstock installed on a REMCO cnc. i want to buy a new one or find the gears, but don't know the brand or model number. I'd appreciate some information about it.

Hello Perich1978, the photo that you uploaded is not viewable (at least by me). As far as I can tell, you followed the correct procedure, but somehow gremlins have made an appearance.

Perhaps you'd like to try a 2nd upload?

It should now be visible to all. I have uploaded it again.

Looks like the tailstock is mounted on a support bracket to raise the centre line. Perhaps if you removed it and gave it a clean, you may find some stamped or casting numbers to give you a clue about it's origins.

The quill is missing for sure, but the winding handle seems to be in place, maybe remove it and you'll find it is a gear inside.

A tailstock quill usually has a rack gear cut along it.

I don't recognise it though, sorry.
