Chinese GRBL Board End Limit Switches

    Good morning,

I'm a new member of this forum and this is my first CNC build. I have assembled a TopDirect CNC Router from Amazon, everything works fine after about 8 hours of building.

I have mounted Micro Limit Switches, Left and right on the X Axis, Front and back on the Y Axis and only 1 at the top of the Z Axis.

The Limit Switches have Normally Open and Normally Closed pins on the bottom and a Common pin on the side.

I have found many and varied diagrams for wiring them together in series, but my problem is that I have 3 pins to input to on the X Y and Z Limit pins on my Chinese Woodpecker (?) board.

The X-Limit, Y-Limit Z-Limit and Serov inputs (which I assume should read Servo?) all have + - and S marked on them.

Every other diagram for wiring limit switches to a Chinese Woodpecker Style board suggest only a + and - connection.

Can anyone please offer advice on how I should wire/connect my limit switches?

There is a picture of the board attached.

    Many thanks,

    Adam

Cool Re: Chinese GRBL Board End Limit Switches

    GRBL needs NO switches.
On x and Y axis they should be in parallel.

    Many thanks for your help.

This is my first foray into circuit diagrams since school, 30 years ago, so I may come back with a few questions after I've looked at your diagram in detail.

NO switches are more prone to noise. Using NC switches is really no harder. All you have to do to use NC switches is invert the input in Grbl settings.

    And to add some resistors
Should read the code, it is very well documented/commented.
