    Question Smoothstepper and HobbyCNC

Do mach3 smooth steppers or motion controllers require a stepper driver for each motor? Im running a hobby cnc board that was 45$ and its the size of a small breakout board and doesnt require drivers. However if its discontinued ill need a new solution

I believe that you can plug a HobbyCNC directly into the Smoothstepper.

The Smoothstepper is not a stepper driver, so yes, you still need a drive for each motor.
