    updates made program worse!

Have seen quite a few issues with bobcam so far. At best it seems able to do minor profiles and drill holes.
After installing updates (they were to fix issues...), now, drilling a hole is out due to the fact no post processor will work...
    Anyone else install updates?
How can I get rid of the update so I can at least drill a damn hole.
I am back to being a big fan of notepad. At least I can write programs that work!

    Jest,

The problems people have been talking about has to do with simulation. Trust me you can a lot more than profiles and drilling holes.

If you can't post there are a few settings you would want to check.

1- try post and save. If you do not have your nc file path setup correctly then hitting post will not work. If post and save as will write a program then you know thatgs your problem

2- have you selected a post that is avaliable? Maybe you are using a file that ran in an earlier version. It the software maybe looking for a post that it doesn t have access to....

3- rare but youre virus software could be the problem.

Anyway you can always call support and they will get you sorted out. If there is anything I can help with please let me know.

Works fine on drilling, you just have to make sure you have the default machine selected BC_3x_Mill and the BC_3x_Mill.Pst selected, you will probably have to do a bit of work on the Post to get the exact code for your machine depending on what it is but the Post is a "Fanuc-Generic" post so for most folks it won`t be a million miles away.

See attached files, they should get you started, remember just use the BC_3x_Mill machine and Post set under your :-
Milling Tools > Part and Default > Current settings and make sure you set it to be the default under the Part > Current Settings.

The attachments have the BobCAD file, the G code file (NC) and the BC_3x_Mill.Pst that was used to create the code.

I dont know if this will apply to any of you guys but.

After I updated my laptop I had probs with the post.

I did all the setting etc changes that have been mentioned

What a found was that when I moved my post file around it would sometimes drop the end part (mill pst) so the post engine wouldnt find the post.

When I got that figuered out it worked fine.

Though, I havent ran the G code yet

However my laptop also has lost my "pro" Lic box so I may have other system problems goin on.

Here's my response: interesting posts. I agree. And I strongly advise you to pay attention to Andersen. It is a custom software development company that takes on difficult challenges and creates unique products. Its automotive software experts will work out your solution and lead the discovery phase of the project, while developers will assist in bringing it to life.
