Cutting a new motor mount to bolt to the ball screw bearing block. Starting with a 6x6x2 block of 6061. I will put up a pic when it's done cutting.

Cool machine! Looks very capable. I'm also using the KR actuators on my Z and they're working really well. Do you find any difference in accuracy of the parts for the different axis?

Yea there was a major difference. I changed my other ball screws out. My x axis is now a ground kuroda ball screw. Big difference over the rolled ball screws.

Your machine seems very stiff, you seem to be getting really nice finishes on aluminum. Seems to be a very capable machine, I love the new spindle, that should be awesome. I want one of those too. LOL

Thanks. It's taken a lot of time to finally get it where it is. I love that motor I just have to get the script for the m6 set up now.

I Finally have the macro for the tool change finished up and the tool holder temporarily bolted to the table. I'll post a video later tonight of the machine in action.

You are going to need to hook up a fan to the opening on the spindle or you are more than likely going to burn it up. If I remember correctly the manufacturer recommends 250 cfm of air movement.

Yeah I have one that will be delivered today but I didn't know the 250 cfm. Thanks.

We went through two spindles on our multicam, until I researched myself. I found out from Colombo it needed a lot more than the 50cfm fan that multicam had on there. Since I put the 500cfm blower, not one problem. We run ours non stop 8-10 hrs a day.

Yeah there's not much literature on this older spindle, But I have a squirrel cage fan coming. What type of fan did you end up using?
