    Cobra 42 Fusion 360 post

Is anyone using Fusion 360 to program their Hardinge lathe? If so which post are you using? Have you edited it to make it better?

Yes I have a post that I'm using with the lathe it works okay. It does not do the drilling Cycles. That is just something that I've lived with. Have not spent the time to fix it

I'm hoping to be the new owner of a Cobra 42 very shortly and just trying to get some information lined up.

For the drilling cycles, does the cobra 42 accept a drilling cycle? Or is it that the post just needs to be formatted to output the code how the cobra needs to see it?

The post needs to be reformatted to work with the canned cycle for that controller. There is also a deep drilling cycle that is a macro program of the controller that works really well.

I have a lot of extra tool holders for mine. If you need some get in contact with me and I'll see what I can sell.

Also if you're going to do any tapping you we'll need the self-releasing tap holder.

Cool! That's awesome, once i pick it up and get it setup I'll take a look at the post and see about coding everything for the post to get it working. Any other info on the machine you could share that may get me started in the right direction or things to check would be greatly appreciated!
