    How to model this hole pattern on the outside circumference of a shaft?

    Attached are pictures of what I'm trying to do.

    The round diameter where the small holes are is 1.5" O.D.

    The diameter of the small holes is: .030"

    The holes are spaced .040" apart.

    I can't figure out how to model holes in this pattern on the outside circumference of this shaft.

    any help would be greatly appreciated... maybe if you could include an actual solidworks model that would be easiest so I can see the features used, etc.

    maybe something like this!
    solidworks 2009
    be careful, the file is not compressed, just rename by removing .zip
