    Hardinge Quest 51 Turret Help!

My Hardinge Quest 51 X and Z batteries died and were replaced late last week. The X and Z axis were reset succesfully but now my turret doesn,t index to the commanded position. Example; I give T0101 command and turret indexes to T6 position. Please assist me, we are and down and I haven,t been able to get any assistance from Hardinge. Especially since Hardinge has had a big merger China thing goin on.

On the conquest, you hold zero return button and push turret index button. Turret will turn to station #1 and lock. I imagine yours is similar.

Its the same process for your turret on that machine. Get your turret to be clamped on its last station(10 or 12) depending on what you have and reset the APZ parameter (1815). If the machine has a subspindle, its the "3" and if its a tailstock machine, its the "A". I could have those 2 swaped though so I would look for which one of those two that has the next bit (APC) a 1. NEVER change bit 5 in that parameter (APC), as that's telling the control the machine has absolute encoders. Good luck!
