Ok So I am trying to get my desktop to talk to my CNC 1981 year Yasnac controll, 710V Matsuura Machine. I am not having any luck. I have other CNC's in my shop running already, but cant get this one to work correctly. I get an alarm 14 and an alarm 15 when I try to send the program. This machine has some sort of add on module to allow it to use a RS-232 port.

I am going to the Command Page, then Edit on the rotary switch, then pressing tape in. Is this the correct order and opperations?

Well, I can tell you that your adapter board is made by Advanced Digital Research (adrco.com) and you can download the book for it on their website. Also, this board usually is set up to act like a buffer. This means that you load it first. As it is loading, lights will be blinking. When it has data in it, the green light opposite the red light will be on. This does not mean that the data is good however. After the board is loaded, you pretend that you are loading tape from the reader into the memory.

Ok, Thanks, I called them, and got the cnc to accept the code from that BTR.
