    OSP 5020L on LC-30 "2561 Error" Help

We are trying to hook our LC-30 w/ 5020L controls up to a computer to send programs not even drip feeding.

We have a connection through an rs 232 port on the machine.

i have the parameters set to match on both the machine and the PC.

We go into edit aux and then to DATA PIP, then to READ.

we type TT:, "file name" and the press WRITE

    machine thinks about 45 seconds

then we get "ERROR 2561 RS232C ready interrupt time out ERROR"

can anyone help us figure out what we are doing wrong?

the machine was recently moved and the plant where it was had a peminant DNC that feed multiple machines. The RS232 port worked a week ago.

We are using a single PC and our own cable.
machine came with an adapter hooked to rs232 and we have tried with and without it.

    Thanks in advance

Data pip is for parameters only.
Part program file transfer is under regular pip. It's F2 on edit mode without ext. <- edited 2010-03-13. Must be F3 on every OSP. My mistake

We have the same ERROR 2561 RS232C ready interrupt time out ERROR

Something is wrong with the communication between the PC and our CNC. We made several attempts for months with different cables and configurations without success, so we decided to buy the RS232 cable, it comes with the program Theratherm. Nowdays we can send the programs from the CNC to the pc, but when we try to send from the pc to the cnc nothing happens, it wait for about 30 seconds and then get the error 2561

Could someone help me?, we tried everything we read in this prestigious forum.

    Thanks in advance!
