need help with prototrak mx3 post

Is there a way to use the mx3 to control the cutter comp? I am currently using the surfcam to offset the cutter (offset with comp) but once on the machine I am unable to make adjustments in the control with cutter comp. I must set the cutter size to .0001 in the control when I load an EIA program. Then if I want to make an adjustment I must then repost the program with a different size cutter.

    Any ideas?

    Try this...?

Now before anyone starts flaming, I have only run these machines a couple of times. But this is what I found when using cutter comp.

If you put the diameter of the cutter in the controller and your toolpath is already offset, you get double comp. So, you put the cutter diameter at zero and have SurfCAM offset the path. Then you put in your comp as the cutter diameter.

    Does that make sense??
