I design Aluminum Front panels for Fireworks Firing Sytstems and am looking for a good option to add lettering. I am wanting to start buying anodized sheets in 4'x10' and router out the panels then do the engraving on the laser. I have heard of a couple options, Cermark/Thermark and engraving through the anodized layer and coloring. Does anyone have experience with Cermark/Thermark on anodized surfaces? Is there a product that would allow infill of the lettering but would not adhere to the anodized surface? I am thinking of having the shop put a premask on and laser through it then I could paint the text. Let me know if anyone has a better suggestion or experience with Cermark/Thermark on anodized surfaces.
