    KCam and Corel Designer 9

    Hello,

I'm a newbie when it comes to CNC, but i'm trying

When I export a drawing from Corel Designer 9 (i'm using build 9.0.2.0314) to DXF, not only the piece but the entire sheet is exported (even if i select the piece i want to export). The result is, that when I import the DXF in KCam, compiles it and makes a test run, the machine wants to cut out a "letter" sheet, and then my work piece inside of it...

Have I missed some settings, or is my approach wrong?

    introduction

    Machine design.
Among other things I make musical instruments such as banjo's mandolas ,bouzoukis, dulcimers . as well as whistles in different seize/keys.
I also design and fabricate gadgets, and make inventions come to life.
In order to make free forms in metal as well as wood and plastics about 15 years ago i added a cnc control to my bridgeport. Two years ago I added a cnc control to an old lathe. Because of the equipment available at the time I am thinking of an update. Meanwhile I keep busy with making wooden bowls round as well as oblong. My current project is to renovate a gantry engraver
24x 24 inches to equip with more powerful stepper motors. If some one can give me advice to change the drivers with more powerful drivers, it will be greatly appreciated. Jan Hoekstra

I haven't used Designer, but with Corel Draw the "Save" window has a check box to save "Selected only".
