    WEB drilling with Fadal 4020HT

    Hello all; I'm trying to drill a tube in two "X" locations. Right now the program is drilling as if it is a solid piece of material. I would like to speed the "R" plane threw the tube. Tube diameter is 1.660 with .140 wall thickness 6061 T6. 1/4 inch drill.Here is the program;

    If I understand you correctly, you want to stop drilling the air inside the tube? You could use two hole cycles instead of one, if you're intent on using the canned cycles.

    I think I would forgo the canned cycles and just g-code what you want it to do directly. But that's just me ;-)

    +1 on G coding it. You could make it a label if you have multiple holes.
    Still working in the "D".
