Hi.

I was wondering if anyone has any interest in having custom PC based CNC monitoring software?

We've just started offering this package and it would be good to hear what you guys would be interested in monitoring.

The image attached, is software that monitors various things, but is aimed at "lights out" production shops. So when the machine stops, it will email or text the user, with a messge "The machine has stopped with 3001 TOOL NOT ENGAGED at 14:06:02", example.

I look forward to your suggestions.

i'm very interested in this

i've developed my own software to track/diagnose/report via rs232 dnc commands, but there's a huge lacking step when things are happening unexpectedly, like someone stopping the machine mid program, or an alarm

Yeah i've done a few with RS-232 in the past and found the same thing.

Using ethernet or wireless, it handles it fine.

this looks pretty much exactly what ive been looking for we run two turning centers lights out every night and its kind of a bummer when they alarm out 45 minutes after we go home
