Yup, those dont look like nice gears anymore. Greasing and cleaning them on a weekly basis will help, do you have dust extraction? I dont the the pinions and racks would make your encoders fail, the would make the the machine tolerance less precise however. If you humidity is high that means you will have less static electricity right? Im not sure if its a good idea to dehumidify as it might bring other problems.

    Need Help with Multicam

I am not in the office but I will be there on Friday. Post a pic of your motor so I can tell which one, you have. The motors are the same, just the connections face different ways.

    Thanks

    multicam

I have a multicm router pro series made in 1998 or a little later. The machine has a six station tool changer (rotary). I am looking for a wire schmatic for the machine. I bought the machine used 9 years ago and it just needs a little up-grade.

    Can anybody help?

    Need Help with Multicam

A pro series machine, hmmmm you have a older controller either a

    m23/ either a j930,h971
and if you are lucky maybe a M24/H or K board.

My question to you would be:

What type of upgrade are you looking to do, if you are looking to upgrade your controller you might be better off finding another used machine, because a Multicam upgrade to a M2545 controller is easily over 10K, not including installation.

I've have got to look thru my old files, but I think I have a basis pro electrical schematic, send me your email address and if you have any other question give me a call.

I do have a couple of these servo motors in stock, both for a 5000 and a 3000 series machines.

Repair is also a option, I know of a company in the US that repairs these motors and they give a pretty good warranty on the repaired items and quick turn around, since you have 3 of these motors, that might be your best choice.

Let me know as far as getting parts to repair the servo, I wouldn't begin to know where to start, since MCG has stopped producing these.
Hi! I am also encountering the same problem with my multicam 3000. Do you have these servo motors?

    try this company
    they have quick turnaround times
i am completely satisfied with repair
    & response. also most companies
    only give 6-12 mo. warranty
this co. gives 18 mo. warranty,
also if u have cheaper price
they will beat it by 10%.

    Re: Need Help with MultiCAM

Hello. My name is Mariano. I'm from Argentina. I have problems with my Multicam V Series plasma cutting machine. There is actually no technical support in Argentina. The installer of the machine is from Brazil and He can't help me. I started having problems with control... the display apparently changed the resolution. That way I lost the visualization of some cutting parameters. I tried to solve it but now the machine does not work. I need help and I don't know who to turn to. Thank you.
