    Morbidelli Author 636 top

I have been hired to program and look after a Morbidelli Author 636 TOP router. We are using AlphaCAM. The machine is 5 x 12 but it is set up now w machine home position on the back/left but the part zero references x off of a pin in the center/left of the table, 2' from the left edge of the table! It comes right up thru the table! Why is this? They can't cut 12' material. Can I set the machine to have it's home position on the right and eliminate the pin at the interior position on the table and make part zero to the back left? The machine has a rake but I don't think that matters. After it clears the table it could just rest at that position.

Also I can't seem to open the post for the machine. I used to run Routech machines and the posts would open in Alphaedit and were easily copied and modified. It is a .arb file type.

There's a switch on the front left of the table to switch between the far left pin and the one in the middle of the table.

We use a 5x10 spoilboard off the center pin, so the rake can push our sheets off the table. If you use the left pin and the whole 12', you can't use the rake.

In Alphacam, you can make a few changes to the post. There should be a button witha big M, or you can access it from the menu.

There should be a number like 25.5512 or something like that in the post, for the center pin. Change it to 0 to use the entire 12'.

Does your machine home out to the left or right?
