Hi. I'm looking for help setting up to cut 16? ga. aluminum treadplate.
I'm using a dynacnc w/cutmaster 52 machine torch. 60A tip.
Can someone recommend cut speed and tip setoff from plate?
what happened to DynaCNC?
Oh . . I can't get the THC to work either. When I turn it on in Mach the torch ignites and just sits still. Turn it off and I can cut my program but of course the tip does move with the steel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The tech guy that used to be there for Dyna wants to charge for his help. We are using this at a school where there is no money for "tech support"

Cut the treadplate from the back if possible. Cutting 16ga AL with a 60 A tip is like carving with a chainsaw. Use a smaller tip and lower current to get better cuts in thin material.

The problem with the THC sounds like you are not getting the ARC OK. It tells MACH that it has a valid ARC and triggers it to release motion after the pierce.

If you have the DYNACNC 1000 series control we still support the controller for free. If you have the later 4000 or 6000 controller you may be SOL for free support.
