    FADAL 4020 Z-AXIS WON'T GO!

My fadal 4020, which has been running fine has quit moving in Z in programs. Z axis works fine in jog, and in TC,1 tool change. I can't get it to do anything in MDI or several pgms that have been running fine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    z axis

I would first try and power down, then pull the z axis card out and reseat it.if that does not work try and zero out the memory on the cpu.Remember the write down the backlash and parameter settings, and back up the programs+tool offsets.also send atc to tool one and save anything else you want because it will be gone.go to diagnostics-controler-spacebar-#5 zero memory hit y 2 times then power down and wait 30 sec. then power up and put parameters+bl back then give command SETTO to rest atc tool1.this is a odd issue and may be from a corrupt file,i have not seen this yet.one more thing check the parameters and see if the axis setting is set for x,y,z.and not something else.if the rest does not work you may wany to swap axis control cards with another axis,be sure to move the jumpers.

    Z-AXIS FOLLOW UP

No luck yet. Have tried zeroing memory, remove & reinstall z-axis ctl card, remove & reinstall 1030 card. Nothing. I have a tech that should be here sometime today.
    Thanks for your support.
