CNC MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR TECHNICIAN.

The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing maintenance improvement procedures as well as achieving standards of equipment output, developing and implementing cost reductions and avoiding machine downtime. Individuals with 3+ years of progressively more challenging experience are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Assigned primarily to the maintenance and repair of CNC machines (Haas VF4-VF12 and You Ji Vertical Grinding Machines)

• Ability to work SAFELY by following policies and procedures in an industrial environment, strictly follow proper PM procedures while working on equipment.

• Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment in an industrial setting.

• Ability to perform scheduled and emergency maintenance alone or in a team environment correctly the first time.

• Correctly use and support Lockout/Tag-out policy.

• Ability to read manuals, electrical diagrams, hydraulic schematics and illustrations.

• Ability to research parts, drawings, diagrams and schematics. Maintain parts inventory by monitoring and ordering parts to ensure adequate inventory.

• PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.

• Ability to effectively diagnose machine malfunctions and concisely detail root cause(s) of malfunctions to management both orally and in writing.

• Perform facility maintenance and maintain clean and safe work area.

• Rebuild and fabricate parts, assemble, calibrate and install new equipment.

• Personal Computer (PC) skills (Outlook, Word and Excel) are desired.

• Machine rebuild, HVAC, welding, cutting, and fitting experience a plus.

• Machine leveling, alignment, and installation a plus.

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) a plus

• Experience using calipers, indicators, micrometers, multimeters, O-
scope, etc . a plus.

• Ability to use shop equipment: such as sanders, drill press, mills, lathe, surface grinder, press break, shear, crane, forklift, etc. a plus.

• Experience with air compressors and balancing compressed air systems a plus.

• Flexible schedule needed to meet emergency deadlines/operational needs.

Experience required: 3 years of successful experience working in the field of machinery diagnostics and repairs with a focus on CNC machines. High school diploma or equivalent required. Related college, technical or vocational education preferred.
