    Help with identifiyng Southbend Magnaturn

    Hello.

We have a Southbend Magnaturn lathe. I believe it is a 1218 or a 1220, I do not know which. It has two floppies on the front and a hard drive inside. The hard drive is failing, fast.

    The serial number is 00151.

This machine has seen very little use.
I could use some specs on the thing; travels, spindle rpm, types of servos, etc...

I could also use some recommendations for a possible retrofit.

    Thanks,

    Heath

Looking for a magnaturn post processor

You can find the specs for the machine by just doing a search for southbend 1218. There is a machine sale site that has specs on most cnc machines. The specs are free at the site.
