    Protective shielding tape

I need to protect the surface from laser cutting effects. Using masking tape gets old quickly when cutting bigger pieces.
What suggestions do you have for both industrial and for locally available protection film that comes in a wide roll. For example, I am thinking about trying shelf liner and book covering material.

    Protective shielding tape

    Hi Bertho,

The best stuff I have found is the 'transfer tape' used by the sign making industry. Works for me.
(I also cut sign vinyl (drag knife method) so already have the low tack transfer tape on hand - comes in anything up to 1M wide rolls).

    Tweakie.
CNC is only limited by our imagination.

Agree with Tweakie, only one addition - keep you attention on fact that you need PAPER-BASED transfer tape. Usually this is cheapest one. Suppliers also can offer plastic-based which is not suitable for your purposes.

    Thanks for the fast replies.
I will try the suggested paper transfer tape.
