    taig mill belt tension

Hi, i bought a taig mill but do not know how to adjust the belt tension. how tight it should be? i notice a bit of vib when i put my hand on the headstock. if the belt is tight, should i adjust the belt so i will feel not viberation on the headstock? i can always feel a bit of vib with my hand on the motor. searched a lot but did not find any instruction. thanks a lot!

    It should be pretty tight

If you poke it with your finger, it shouldn't deflect more than about 1/4" (that's half a centimeter or so). The important thing is to get the pulleys exactly level, so the belt's not stressed on one side more than on the other.

I'm not sure what vibration you're talking about, but there shouldn't be much of that in the motor or the spindle. Is this the stock Taig motor you're using, or something else?
