    Re: Mach3 2010 Screen set

Hi Ger, I have tried out what you suggested but to no avail, however I understood what was happening and realized (and apologize) that I have misled you. I open mach 3 through the KeyGrabber in which I have a joystick configured to function with mach3. As can be seen on the attached photo, the problem (I think) is with re-assigning of the relative buttons to the new OEM buttons designated in the "Jog" tab control of 2010 screen set (as described in Mach3 macro program manual - http://www.machsupport.com/wp-conten...o_Prog_Ref.pdf ). I have no idea how I could identify their translation code so as to refer to it in the KeyGrabber, is there a way to know this?

No, you should be able to just install the other version riht over the existing version, and nothing should change. Just in case, make a backup copy of your .xml first. That contains all of your settings.

So your sending shortcut keys from your joystick through Keygrabber. The issue is probably that the 2010 Screenset doesn't use the default shortcut keys. You'd probably need to modify the screenset to change the hotkeys.

Can you tell me exactly what each button is supposed to be doing, or what buttons it's pressing in the default screenset? Be aware that a lot of buttons in the default screenset are not even available in the 2010 Screenset.

You said fine positioning. Can you explain exactly the process you use?

Just looked for an older download and didn't see one at newfangled site. Any suggestion where to get one?

    Re: Mach3 2010 Screen set

Well its working and a big thanks for the help.

I was running this machine for 2 years without Mach 3 spindle control until just a few weeks ago and thought that was an improvement but combined with this screenset and the auto tool routine I'm elated.

Thanks again and I look forward now to getting your jointcam routine/program.

Maybe I wont wait 2 years.

I think so. I may reload the 066 back just to test but I need to get some work out of
    the way first.

    Re: Mach3 2010 Screen set

    Hi Gerry,

    I do reference all home
Then move the y and x to where I want and make it home.
Put the probe there and choose initial probe or simple and does the same thing. Goes down and touches and goes all the way to my -7 with soft limits or without it hits the home limits and goes down a little and does not come down far enough to touch again. Then either goes all the way down and crashes with probe or goes up and hits home.

When I calculate probe height and the clearance amount and compare to what the system says the work surface should be it does not reach the work surface.

    I have attached screenshots.

The park does work. It goes where it should.

m6 locates the fixed plate and will do the entire process sometimes but when it goes on top of the part it is too high and again did not calculate the z correct.

    Could you please help

    Re: Mach3 2010 Screen set

    I have the 2010 Screenset.

Problem is the pop-up screens don't pop up when I click them.
It isn't until I hit the 'alt' (or is it the windows key?) that they do show.
Guessing they are there, just behind my main screen.

Did I do something wrong at install? How to fix?

The tabs at the top. They pop up different windows.
    At least on my mach3.

That's the default screenset, and is not part of the 2010 Screenset??? Those buttons have nothing to do with the 2010 Screenset.

Did you load the 2010 Screenset?

    Re: Mach3 2010 Screen set

    Ger21,

Yes, My 2010 screen is loaded on my machine out in the shop at home. I don't connect it to the internet. But the computer is plugged in.
Please forgive me, that was just a quick screenshot grab of mach3 off the interweb to visually show what I was talking about. I have failed at that miserably and now attached a random 2010. So, yes, definitely referring to the 2010 screen.

When I drop down a menu and click my selection for example drop down the 'CONFIG' menu and select the 'Motor Tuning'. <---- When I do this the small seperate 'motor tuning and setup' window doesn't appear to open. For any selection. I did not experience it with original Mach3 sceen.

I'm running Mach3 with latest update on Win 7 Pro with 2010 Screenset. What appears to be happening is the window is opening, but remaining behind my 2010 main window. Appears to do same in windowed or fullscreen. Could perhaps be related to my Windows 7 configuration because I run as a minimalist with all windows animations etc turned off.
Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise it is useable as is.
