    Fanuc OT on 1995 Daewoo Puma 8s Lathe

    Bought machine May 2009 and battery problem dumped all parameters shortly thereafter. Reloaded parameters that came with machine, but had to tweek several to just get it working. Been doing turning work only, never needed to thread until recently. *problem* thread pitch will not repeat. Position Coder is brand new from Fanuc last week. Think it must be a parameter problem but have exhausted all efforts to correct ourself. Anyone please help make suggestion of possible problem or changes we can try! Thanks! Also since parameters were lost RPM display on control station does not work. RPM only reads zero. Thanks!

    Do you notice the RPM change while thread? some control very picky about that, need to stay constant.
    The best way to learn is trial error.

    If rpm display is always zero, possibly there is no feedback from spindle.

    Double check parameters 6500 - 6520, 0002 & 0028
