Last week I decided to order a G0619 from Grizzly. The shipping was fast leaving their warehouse in Missouri the next day. Anytime I order a piece of machinery I always a have that fear that the truckers will have their way with it before it makes it to my shop.
I went today to pick up the machine at the trucking terminal. When I first saw the crate I thought my worst nightmare had come true. The pallet had lost part of the bottom support and one side had completely separated from the enclosure.
When I looked inside I did'nt know what to expect but to my surprise everything was intact and in perfect condition. I was surprised to see the manual and accessory box just laying inside not attached or stapled to anything. One bolt was missing from the base. Close one! I had to dissasemble the rest of the crate to tie it down.
I have a Sharp 3 axis knee mill and purchased the G0619 for manual use to do those quick small jobs. It is time consuming to have to boot up the CNC, and home all 3 axis to drill a couple of holes or mill an edge square. I intend to install a DRO and power feeds for the X and Z axis. I will post some more pics once I get the machine set up and I will give a review.
Anybody have suggestions for a Z power feed?
