Horizontal / vertical mill How to post ?

I have a Deckel FP4nc mill, this machine can work as a vertical or as a horizontal mill. the problem I am having is that if I want to use the horizontal spindle, my depths will be determined by the Y axis. If I use a vertical machine post processor, it outputs the depths as Z movements.

Other than swapping Y's and Z's on the editor (using replace all) how can I do it in Mastercam? Mastercam X

    Thanks

    There are 2 solutions

    1 - Custom Post
2 - Edit the code, You will also need to change any arcs

Used to be an applications Engineer for Hermle. Same kind of machines, Universal Mill. I had a Heidenhain post that would output vertical toolpaths for horizontal (Y=Z) toolpaths.

    i.e. Custom Post
