    New Zealand?

I'm considering coming to the land of the KIWI's.
I would like some info on the economy, the manufacturing industry, what trades are sought after, etc, etc, etc.....

Any KIWI's here related to the flyfishing industry?

Klox - I was hoping to look you up when I got to SA on my way 'round.
Leaving NZ soon and then up island and on to yneeb-land for a bit then on to SA,
BUT - fly fishing is a big deal here - mostly on South Island as I recall - but some good trout ponds about on North too.
A good mate or two here are involved in "engineering" - but surprising few have a plasma/cnc set up. Many rely on a hand held torch or a template tool to do the work that a machine could do in a minute or two....
If intrested I could ring them up and pass alnog an email address or 2. Jim
Experience is the BEST Teacher. Is that why it usually arrives in a shower of sparks, flash of light, loud bang, a cloud of smoke, AND -- a BILL to pay? You usually get it -- just after you need it.

    Klox,

Your workshop floor is too clean, "GET BACK TO WORK".

I tried fly fishing once and gave up pretty quickly after I split my right ear open when my mates fishing rod smacked the side of my head. Not a good introduction to the sport. The worst thing was that I a good distance away from him, however, one would never have thought he would let go of his rod. MMMmmm.

Dave, my "clean" workshop floor is all my mother's fault. I KNOW i'm a perfectionist by birth! My mother should have dropped me a couple of times to get rid of that perfectionism, i think she loved me too much as she thought such an ugly baby like me is handicapped already!!! She could have made lots of money renting me out as a scarecrow to keep the neighbourhood's kid's in line, wonder why she did not do it though.....LOL!!

When we meet up one day we must go flyfishing, i'm not very knowledgeble on flyfishing, i don't have much experience either, but i do love it tonnes. I think it's what matters most.
I promise i won't "throw" you with the rod, i also promomise that i won't "hook" you with the fly....

Dave, i'll tie you the "Kookaburra fly" - kind of hovers like a brick, definitely does not fly like a helicopter...LOL!

The biggest problem woth a kookaburra fly would be that the kookaburra will eat the fish before you pull it in. LOL
