Hello,

I am fairly new to Stepper Motors/Driver/Controllers and I have a few questions I was hoping someone could answer.
I current have stepper motors. No servo motors.

1. How would I know if a controller/driver board be able to control servo motors or stepper motors?
I have purchased a stepper driver/controller board but not too sure if it supports servos?

2. What am I looking for to decrease the noise in my stepper motors?
Apparently I would be looking to smooth between each step so a microstepper would be ideal?
What kind of setting should I be looking for in a microstepping
I have found some which are 1/16 or should I be looking higher than that?

3.
Would these motors

work on this board?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....#ht_4952wt_911

It says that it will support a minimum 1.2A rated current. These motors output 1.4Amps per Phase and have two phases (2.4Amps??)
Does that it mean it will make these motors move or not?

4. Can anyone recommend to me a controller board that will have 6+ stepper motors, preferably 7. I am looking to build robotic arms.
Anyone has a link?
Cheers,

Ben
