Today is a great day for me and my garage shop.

I finally did it. I have planned it for several years, but finally got around to building the adaptor I needed and writing the code.

I hope you enjoy the video of me taking my first automated internal spline cuts.

nice! gives me ideas about some id keyways we have to cut without the right machine, lol. we have been making them with the cutter and a guide and the shims with a hydraulic press, but it takes forever. we havea 4th that we can place on its back, so this will work nicely. thank you!

after cutting down in the Y(-) it feeds back up in the Y (+) to a non cutting location (clearance) and then indexes to a new location in A (4th axis)

Nice work, Nate. Are the tool bits hand ground to fit the spline profile?
