So guys, been a lurker for a bit here, but decided to post. I'm still a newbie though, so bear with me if I make some mistakes.
I'm looking for a cheap machine, preferably turnkey, to:
1. Mill Expanded PVC (Sintra, Komatex, Komacel...). It's foam but behaves like plastic. Apparently easy to cut.
I'll be almost milling a bowl out from a block, if that makes sense as to what I'm doing.
2. Mill PCB's. I'm looking to do some fine trace PCB's, so I'll be needing little backlash and tolerances.
Not as important, but preferable...
3. Wooden Signs
4. Mill Copper sheets (and drill holes)
I also need the travels to be at least 1' x 2' x 3".
I found the Fireball V90, seems to fit my needs well. But I heard the motors get quite hot, so I was thinking about replacing the driver boards with the linistepper boards.
Any suggestions?
