"accidental” Micro mill and other distractions

O.K. the build can’t be accidental, bits were bought without any real intent (included in a “job lot”), and this looked like a way to get some fun out of them. This machine wasn’t planned until I realised I can’t build the bigger one without a bigger surface plate . All the parts for the tiny one will fit on my 18”X12”, so no problem checking anything out.
Travels are to suit parts in hand so it’ll be 250X 120 X50. More like “laptop” than desktop, size-wise, but who cares? It’s a hobby project, and I’ll learn from it, at least I hope so.
Build is all alum. extrusions, spindle will be home-built Er11 , R/C brushless motor drive. Ballscrews/linear guides all axes.
