I have finally finished my bulltear table and have it cutting but I am getting these ripples on the edge. Does anyone have any ideas on what causes this?

Sir,
From your bottom picture, you seem to have oscillation at the start of the motion (right to left, going CW around the outside). Either you have backlash in your system or the servo is underdamped.
Are there wiggles on both axes?
Something seems to be loose, somewhere.
Tell us what your drives are, stepper or servo type.

Jack C.
The drives are stepper motors. I am getting it on both axis but it seems worse on the Y. I first thought it might be dirty air so I hooked it us to a fresh air system that makes breathable air and it still has the same ripples after that. I know the air is the cleanest you could get.
Also this is 3/16 plate if that matters!!
Thanks,
NIck
Nick,
I had ever found this problem. I used rack and pinion for moving and I used the springload also. I found this problem on X-axis. The cause was the gantry of X-axis can not move smoothly. The springload could not flexibly move.
If the gantry can not move flexible, the result of edge may be the wave. Pls check your gantry again.
