also what i understand about laminating steel is like make sandwich of steel and inside we laminate it with fiberglass and epoxy in each layer of steel. am i right ?

Hi CHM - Each part is a stack of steel or aluminium parts. The layers are bonded together with epoxy. Forget about fibreglass or carbonfibre. Thats too hard and costly. Peter

i am still in a boat of no where haha. well i want diy cnc mill cast iron isn`t my way as it requires alot of work. like first mould making then casting then stress relive then machining its. and i cant afford to move that big of cast iron chunk to move here and there. epoxy granite is what i can done easily but after reading your whole thread of mili i found result of epoxy granite isn`t good stiffness wise. hope someone suggest me any other way rather then cast iron

Hi CFM - I can't tell you how to build your machine. You build it with technologies that you are comfortable with or something you want to experiment with. Just start somewhere and the road will become clearer. Peter
