Hi everyone!
I'm building a desktop CNC machine and I'm having trouble getting parts to move smoothly.. I'm using plain old threaded rod for my screws and I have the acrylic x&y axis sliding on top of some aluminum trim channel. I need things to turn/slide more smoothly and I'm wondering if lithium grease is what I should be using, and if so, how exactly I should use it?

Lithium grease will turn wood dust into goo. Many people here use Dupont Teflon Multi-Use Dry, Wax Lubricant in a spray can. Garage door spray lubricant is similar. It dries to a thin film of dry wax after a few minutes. It doesn't transfer to your clothes every time you get in the same room with your machine like lithium grease will. Don't ask me how I know about that.
