I started learning a little of the programming built into the membrane. I did a simple pocketing routine. I used a .2490 4fem with a doc of .0625 (1/4 of the diameter of the tool) with a 50% overlap at 4 ipm in alum. It would have easily gone deeper and faster. This was my first cuts on this machine. It is so quiet. It shows no deflection whatsoever (unlike my Sherline or A2ZCNC mills). The finishes were fantastic. Especially considering it was an abused end mill. I really didnt expect the machine to cut nearly so well. I cant wait to tinker and interface it via the RS232, just for the additional challenge. The more I become familiar with this machine. The more I think that I am the 1st operator. There is no sign of wear anywhere on the machine.
