Hello, everybody. This is my first time posting to this forum (I've been a lurker for some time), so I apologise if my thread isn't in the right place.

I'm looking to start an operation producing fashion jewellery made out of titanium (mostly pendants and rings), and would like to get some suggestions on what CNC machine is best suited for my purposes.

1) I'll need 4th axis capabilities.
2) Working with titanium requires coolants.
3) As with all jewellery, a high level of detail is a must.
4) I design with Rhino 3D, so if someone can also recommend good CAM software, I'd much appreciate it.

You know, I do recall someone on this forum posting photographs of titanium and other jewelry, mainly titanium rings with embedded gold designs. It was quite interesting. I think I saw this like 3 or 4 years ago, perhaps someone with better memory than mine would help. I guess you could post this in general metalworking forum.

Taig or Sherline with a Sherline rotary table, and kool-mist for coolant. I wonder if you'd be able to get away with a vortex tube for cooling... but kool-mist is a safe bet.

There is, or was, a guy on one of the Sherline lists who makes a nice living making custom titanium wedding rings on a Sherline cnc machine(s).
