    Fanuc 0TC control retrofit

Does anyone know of a retrofit for the Fanuc 0tc control so I may upload nc code off of a disc/ stick ? My lathe has the Fanuc cassette reader serial port but I don't have the hardware or software for it. I am memory limited and don't want to erase programs so I may write new ones.
Please let me know if you have used or have a link to some one here who offers retros.
    Thanks
    Moto

Have you thought of using RS232 with a PC or laptop?
I have PM'd you re the memory.

I think the only solution is as Al says is to hook a PC to your lathe and upload/download the programs... I know lots of 0C controls and that is the only way I know.

    fanuc 0TC?

The way is a PC whit a communication software.
By rs 232 port you can send and receive your program, and you can store it save ia a pc hard disk.
I'm Italian and I use this system in my small shop for communication whit my 5 fanuc machine(one software fife machine!!!)
For very large program(up 200k) you can use DNC function.
    I use a U.S.A made software it cost 50$.
If your cnc dont have rs232 you can put it on.
.......But 0iTc control don't have pcima port??? either way you can use it!!!

Depending on the present memory size, the memory can be expanded by setting an option parameter up to a point, after that an add on board must be also added.

Yeah, I use RS232 and DNC with my OM-C. Works great. Can store my programs offline in the PC. Don't nessisarily have to have all of your programs directly on the CNC/NC, but like for me I suggest storing the programs that you use the most on the CNC.

My programs are a little bit under 200k most of the time on the OM-C.

The shop I worked at had similar setups using Predator DNC. Worked great.
