JGRO parts made if you have access to a manual mill

I have a coworker with access to a manual mill and lathe. If you were building your JGRO, what would you have had made on the mill/lathe? I cannot justify the coworker making everything on the mill but I thought about having him make a few parts like the router clamp out of mild steel flat bar. Your thoughts, please.

Still looking for the next cold one,

    NearBeer
