    Bar Puller Program Problem

Any help would be great. I have a Hitachi Seiki 20SIII Lathe, Seiki-Seicos LY controler. I have been running the machine for two years now and just purchased a Dunham bar puller. Programmed the machine for the bar puller but I am having a problem with the Z axis not wanting to move with a G01 with the spindle stopped with a M05. Is there an M Code or G code to override the M05 to get the machine to move with the spindle stopped?

You need to be in IPM mode. Lathes usually default to IPR. G94, G95...

here is a sample program for the bar puller that we use (Royal Products CNC Bar Puller). We use this in several machines ,usually just changing the M-Codes for opening/closing the collet.

    G0G56G18M9
    G0T1212M5 (TOOL CALL UP)
    G98G0X3.Z.1 (APPROACH PART, ABOVE PART)
Z-3.35 (MOVE TO BAR STOCK THAT IS STICKING OUT OF COLLET)
    G1X1.35F200.
G98G1X-1.F150. (ENGAGE PART WITH BAR PULLER)
    G4U.1 (WAIT)
    M11 (COLLET OPEN)
    G4U.1 (WAIT)
G98G1W3.11F150. (PULLING BAR OUT REQUIRED LENGTH)
    G4U.1(WAIT)
    M10 (COLLET CLOSE)
    G4U.1(WAIT)
G98G1X1.5F200. (DISENGAGE BAR PULLER FROM PART )
    G99G0X6.Z3. (CLEARANCE MOVE)
    M30
