    Fanuc servo tuning software.

    Hi,

    Does anyone know something about the servo tuning software for the Fanuc i controls ? Where can I get it ?

    I saw it on the IMTS at Chicago, Fanuc says they can't sell it to me.

    Thank you.

    GP.

    I would like to see a Java (C#, C, C++.. or some other language) program written to help a user (or MTB) pick out a FANUC servo and amplifier package. Input all the nessesary machine and linear motion, inertia, etc. etc. parameters and it will tell you exactly which servo and amplifier you need.

    * Pick your control series, including i series and model (A, B, C, D, etc.)
    * Pick out the machine configuration (M, T, L, P, G, etc.) up to 16 axes.

    One could also include all of the Black Getty's and the Yellow DC servos, as well as the A06B-604*-H*** series VCU's, etc. and the S and C series amplifiers, although it would be so nice if this program would include.

    For those of us that do have rarer FANUC controls, the 3, 5, 7, 9, 2000, etc. you could include those too.

    This would be handy for machine builders or retrofitters, or hobbyists who build their own FANUC controls.

    This could even include way to solid model the user's machine, so that it would help the software know more about the users environment.

    You can try to contact the machine tool builder if they are still in business.

    Other than that fanuc probably won't sell it to you, they make you get it from the builder. It's frustrating, I wish they were open source like any other manufactures but they protect the builders machinery I guess.
