    SmoothStepper USB Motion Control set-up

I got my smoothstepper installed and used my old motor setting and does not match what is happening on the machine end. Can anyone explain how to get this up? Does any of the mach settings work or do I just use the plug-in settings?

    OK here is the problem-
When I launch Mach3 and jog the machine it moves the correct distance, BUT when I load a file to cut it's movements are scaled up, and even if I close the file it still will not jog the proper distance. Any ideas?

    Hi Paul,
Sounds like an inch vs metric issue. Not that installing the Smoothstepper should have changed anything but make sure your file specifies either G20 or G21 depending on what you're running.

I use SheetCam and it's set for Inch, and it's the same file that I used with mach 3 with NO smoothstepper. I will check my G code.

Check the native units in Mach3. Probably set to mm.
