    Changing ER16 to ER20

    Hi Everyone
I have Chinese ( Excitech ) router with 2.2KW air cooled spindle.
    It has ER16 collet chuck.
Is any chance that I can convert this to ER20?

Most likely not without putting a new spindle on it? Did you to use bigger shank cutters than the ER16 supports?

    Thanks Shannon,

Not really. But most of the router bits I already have are 1/2" shank.
And I just wanted to buy some insert router bit for cost performance reason.
    They are in 1/2" shank.

Do you buy your router bit locally?

Does anyone can recomend good router bit supplier.
I mainly use solid tungsten spiral straight bit,V-bit, and small ball-end mill. I contacted some supplier in the states but hard to find one who accept credit card payment from overseas.
