    Motor Identification Help

First off I want to say this place is great! Ive lerked for a while but just registered.

I have aquired a couple of 1.8*/step motors. Unfortunately, I cant seem to find much information about them.

There is a tag on the back,

    ca244-06140
    STP-58d5005-03
    1.8*/step 0.5 ohm
    03994G

The motor is a square nema 23 frame, 4 wire motor; yellow, red, peach, and tan. Yellow and red and peach and tan are twisted pairs.

Anyone have any insight on this motor?

    Thank you for your help,
    Thomas

Are you still looking for info?

It's a bipolar motor as it has only 4 wires. The 2 phases are in two pairs, which you can confirm with an ohmmeter. They should be the same as the twisted pairs.

The label says the motors are 0.5 ohm, and the total dissipation in watts per phase will be the same as other square stepper motors of the same size and length.

Once you find out watts per phase (by comparing with other motors) you can calc volts and amps based on your 0.5 ohms spec that you already know.

    Hope that helps!
