Anyone have a nice MDF material file for Solidworks?

Looking to add MDF to my Materials list. Anyone have a file they would like to share?

You can just take a picture of an mdf plate and download it to Solidworks aperances.
then you can make it look like mdf. but it wont have the proporties of mdf.
But i gues that dosent matter.

    Hope you make it work.
    Greatings Hans.

Here is what I found and used.
    Wood Grain Textures for SketchUp

I am still interested in adding the mechanical properties of MDF if someone has them.

Ok, it should be farly easy to find the mechanicle proporties for mdf, and then make a custom material file for solidworks.
    I can look into it.
But if i find it, it wil proboly not be in ansi, but in metric units, but it shouldent matter.
By the way its a nice teksture cite you found.

Thanks I appreciate it. I can covert it to ANSI for others whom may want to use it.

    MDF properties

Hey again, it was not that easy to find the properties for mdf, but i have them now.
But you wil need to write them in to the solidworks materials dattabase yourself.
There are two sets of properties for mdf " parallel and tranverse ".
    That konserns all wood composites.
The atached file vil be in word.
Hope you can use it greatings Hans.

Have you tried changing the file format to something like .txt or .jpg? The forum doesn't like unkown formats.
