    Hurco Disk Option

Anyone have any idea why a program written on my home computer will not read on Hurco's floppy.(91 model BMC 20) Seems to be formatted differently. And vise versa, a disk formatted on the Hurco wont read on my home computer. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

The drives in the Hurco are 720Kb only. DS/DD disks. You mIght be able to use HD disks by covering the hole but the info on the disk won't make any sense.

It writes to a standard disk just fine and reads from it fine as long as you format it on the Hurco. However once formatted by the Hurco my PC says its not formatted.

That's because it's formatted as double sided, doudle density 720Kb. The PC won't make any sense of the data on the disk anyway as it's not in a format that will make any sense to anyone or anything that's not running Hurco software.
If you can get a MaxPC dongle and software on an old PC, you will be able to see and edit the programs.
